The Water Tanker Filling Station next to the Centennial Park Reserve in Wellsford has a public dump station that can be used by motor caravanners.
Connected to the reserve with a small bridge over the lake, it is a surprisingly pretty location - much more so that you might expect from a commercial water tanker filling station and public dump station.
Complete with a resident rooster, and the opportunity to go for a walk in the reserve, this would have to be the public dump station of choice, should you need one while in the area.
The water in the lake was a bit muddy when we visited, but it was following some heavy rain, and at the tail end of winter. Overall, a surprisingly pleasant experience.
