Halls Access to Clarks Beach is a nice location for a picnic directly overlooking the beach. There are public toilets,
It was a really nice, sunny weekend when we called in, and the parking area was already filled up with cars. It was not large, so it would pay to avoid weekends and public holidays if travelling in a motorhome. It wouldn't be suitable for very large vans or caravans.
There is a no camping sign, but that wasn't clear whether or not this excluded motor caravanners who are certified self-contained. You'd need to check with the Franklin district council if you want to stay overnight.
The public toilets were well maintained.
