BODYWORK REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE

How many of us have driven our motorhome or caravan for 12 months without having the occassional 'Oh sh_t' moment. This is especially true if you're new to driving these large vehicles.

Of course you should be covered by either Covi or Campercare insurance, but often repairing a minor ding or scratch is less than the typicall $500 excess. In any event, you'll still need to find a suitably capable motor caravan bodywork repair service in your area, or the area in which you happen to be. To help you with this, we've listed as many of these businesses that we know of on our RV Explorer map. You can search for just these services by using the Motor Caravan Repair checkbox in the map filter.

You can also use some of these services to take preventative action, such as fitting bull-bars that also prevent scraping the rear panels on the ground, or a rear vision camera to aid with backing, if you don't already have one.

The best thing about all of this experience is that you do learn to be more skillful in avoiding the usual traps - overhanging branches, deep gutters and steep driveways, getting too close to shop fronts etc, etc....
