The DOC campsite at Lake Paringa is a beautiful location with great views over the lake. It's just a short distance off the main road, but only has limited parking, so you might not find somewhere to park over the busy summer season.
We visited in mid-weed in autumn, and it were still a surprising number of visitors, including some staying over.
There is a small fee for staying overnight, which you pay into the honesty box at the kiosk.
