Broads Track is accessed from a rest area on SH6, roughly halfway between Westport and Inangahua. Freedom camping is allowed for self-contained motor caravanners.

Broads Track is accessed from a rest area on SH6, roughly halfway between Westport and Inangahua. Freedom camping is allowed for self-contained motor caravanners. 

 

It's an OK place to stop for a break. Access to the track looks quite overgrown, so we didn't attempt to explore that, just stopping long enough to take some pictures and head on towards Inangahua.
