Narrow metal road down to the campsite
The DOC campsite at Deer Valley is in the Lewis Pass at the junction of the West Coast and Canterbury. In winter the snow capped mountain view is stunning.
Unfortunately, it was a miserable wet day when we drove past, and we decided not to drive down the winding gravel road down to the campsite.
