There is s small reserve with stunning views over Lake Wairarapa where self-contained motor caravanners can freedom camp.
There is not a lot of room and the on-grass parking is a bit uneven, but it is still a prime location, and it may well to fully occupied over the summer holiday season.
There is a toilet on site and a nice picnic area with a shelter, and also boat access to the lake.
There is no mobile phone coverage at all - so this is a great location to escape from any such distractions!
