Camp Elsdon is a small campsite just south of Porirua, and has a great view over the city and harbour.
There is a choice of on-grass or all-weather parking, and the facilities were basic but clean.
When we visited, the new owners were enthusiastically planning some significant upgrades, so you're likely to see further improvements if you decide to stay.
