The Vinegar Hill Campsite is located in the Putai Ngahere Recreation Reserve and bounded by the Rangitikei river.
The campsite is in a huge 30 hectare reserve that is managed by the Manawatu District Council. There is no power, and parking is all on grass. It is a popular location over summer for swimming, fishing, rafting and canoeing.
There are basic toilet and shower (cold water) facilities provided. Rubbish is only collected from December to February. The campsite open all year, but you must remove your own rubbish.
