The Wanganui Cosmopolitan Club offers free overnight parking in the centre of Wanganui for self-contained motor caravanners.
The parking area is not particularly attractive, but is is sealed and level, and meals may be available in the club. This would only be useful if you need to stay in the town centre.

Very friendly staff who made us welcome. Great meals. Good stay in carpark overnight.
