The Great Lake Holiday Park is in Acacia Bay a short drive out of the Taupo town centre, and set in 5 acres of park-like grounds well away from the tourist activity.
It's not directly on the lake front, but is peaceful and quiet compared to Taupo town. A good place to chill out for a while.
The facilitiies wee well maintained and you can find shaded powered sites if required.
