We were driving down Arapuni Road, on the way to the Little Waipa Reserve where we were planning to stop for lunch. When we passed the Rhubarb Cafe we were surprised that is appeared to be quite busy, especially in a sleepy little town that didn't appear to have any other shops.
We decided to stop and see what it was like, and were very glad we did. There was a good menu selection for reasonable prices, and we ended up with a very enjoyable lunch.
We discovered that Arapuni is on one of the Waikato River Cycle Trails, and the cafe does a thriving business providing good food for hungry cyclists. It also did a very good job of feeding a couple of hungry motor caravanners, and hence its inclusion in this directory.
We'd happily go there again. However, be aware that they are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
