Waihi Golf Club offers a nice golf course and excellent facilities for motor caravanners to park overnight.
We called in a a beautiful sunny winter's afternoon. Their were golfers out enjoying the green, and a small campervan in the overnight parking area. There was power and water available, and showers a short walk away.
Overnight parking is currently $12 a night per van. The only negative is being right next to a busy road. It should be a lot quieter overnight.
Casual golfers can play for a small fee.
