The Point Reserve in Ngaruawhahia is a beautiful location that overlooks the Waikato river and is well equipped with toilets, playground and picnic areas.
It was a beautiful clear Autumn morning when we visited, and the blue sky reflected in the Waikato river just looked stunning! This is one of those hidden gems that isn't so well known, but well worth exploring.
Self-contained motor caravanners can stay overnight.
