Public dump station
The is a public dump station at the southern end of the Cooks Beach Reserve.
It's a really nice location, right on the beachfront, clean public toilets as well as the dump station, and plenty of room for parking. There is also a children's playground, should you be travelling with youngsters.
It is also a designated marine reserve, so there is no fishing or gathering of shellfish allowed.
It would be an excellent location for staying for one or two days, but unfortunately, freedom camping is not allowed.
However, you can freedom camp at the northern end of the same reserve.
