Dickson Holiday Park is just north of Thames town, and features a butterfly garden as well as camping facilities.
This is a long-established 'Kiwi style' campsite. The facilities were basic, but clean and well maintained.
It's in a nice quiet location and is only a few minutes drive back into Thames.
There is a small stream running past, and a bush walk to explore.

We've been advised that the campsite building have recently been repained inside and out.

I would welcome everyone to view this site with the newer colours and clean facilities. Fully fenced site surrounded by a Doc Site making it full of nature. The difficult owner has gone, new owners are lovely and it is now cared for along with planting more trees taking care of this beautiful spot. Come see for yourself.

The Photos are very old , all buildings have been painted , the driveway resealed , gardens replanted .
The Butterfly House is no longer here , it closed down in 2019 . It had caused many problems for the camp owners since 2015 , the owner was a very difficult person and the Butterfly house was run down with a huge collection of rubbish in it and behind it . This also created a major rat infestation
