Golden Bay Lookout is off State Highway 60 and roughly halfway between Collingwood and Takaka. It is a nice place to take a break, with beautiful views over rural land with the harbour in the distance.
It's only just of a busy highway, so while you could stay hear overnight, it might be a bit noisy.
