Hotel Motueka has a large parking area behind the hotel where self-contained motor caravanners can park overnight and optionally enjoy an hotel dinner.
If you want a free place to park overnight in Motueka town, this is about as good as it gets. We planned to stay overnight and try out their roast dinner - unfortunately for us, the restaurant was closed on a Monday. But it was still a very quiet and safe place to stay.
