The Wai-iti Domain is a small reserve that connects into the Great Taste Trail on the Wakefield to Kohatu segment. Freedom camping is allowed for self-contained motor caravanners.

There is a large sheltered picnic area with tables. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a lead at all times.
This is a really nice sheltered location to chill out, even if you're not set up to go cycling.
