Fernwood Holiday Park is located in the fruit picking area of Tasman Nelson, and is popular with casual seasonal workers.
The facilities are basic but clean and tidy. There is a good play area for children, and nice barbeque area.
There is no dump station on site, but water is freely available both for topping up empty tanks, and also for giving your van a wash.
However, it does cost 50 cents for a timed shower.
Tony, the owner, has made availabe a large vegetable and herb garden for residents to enjoy. We certainly haven't seen anything quite as comprehensive anywhere else.
Along with the fresh greens, tomatoes are also available in season.
