TASMAN-NELSON: NELSON

We arrived at the Tahuna Beach Holiday Park in the late afternoon, meeting up with some good friends from New Plymouth who had spent the past 2 months touring the Sourth Island.

One of the features of the motorhome lifestyle is the friends you make while travelling, and we had a great time catching up and sharing plans for where we were off to next.

The campsite was spacious with excellent facilities, un-metered showers, and family friendly, with a well laid out children's play area. There are plenty of trees for shade, but without being crowded. Unless the campsite is particularly busy, you are free to choose your own parking site. 

We enjoyed out stay, returning to it after spending a couple of days exploring Golden Bay. 

The only negative for us was the local aerodrome, with planes flying over being quite noticeable in the evenings.
