The Pohokura Saddle is the second of 4 saddles travelling along the Forgotten World Highway from Stratford to Taumaranui.
It's a winding road up and steep hills, so it's worth stopping at the saddles for a break, to take in the view, and to read the historical plaques.
From this point it is a further 36 km to the Moki Tunnel.
