There is a small reserve with access to the beach at the end of Stent Rd. You can stop for a picnic, but are not allowed to park overnight.
It's a pretty rugged coastline, but there is a small group of houses, and the reserve as a basic long drop public toilet.
While it is listed in some directories as being available for freedom camping, there is a prominent sign forbidding that.
This most likely because the local residents object, as Taranaki is one of our most motorhome friendly regions.
On a clear day, there is a nice view across farmland to Mt Taranaki.
