This the second of 3 parking areas for accessing the Paritutu Centennial Park and the walkway that runs along the coastline.
Complete with great views over the harbour and well maintained public toilets, this is a really nice location to stop for a break, or overnight if you're self-contained.
There is a short track that leads to the next carpark where you have more direct access to the beach. There's also a much longer walk through the park to the first carpark.
