Walking along the beach
The beach front along Greenwood Road has a grass verge for parking and is available for self-contained vans to park overnight. There is not a lot of shelter, and it is right alongside the road, which may be a little isolated unless you are travelling in a group.
The beach is black ironsand, typical of the west coast. Some landscaping has been done, with plantings of native flax.
Quite a good location to get away from everything and go for a walk along the beach to unwind.
There are no public toilets..
