OTAGO: QUEENSTOWN LAKES

Apiring Campervan & Holiday Park is located on the outskirts of Wanaka town and offers a reasonably priced, quality campsite experience, including a hot spa.

We arrived on a clear autumn afternoon and checked in for the night, parking close to the shower and spa facilities. 

We were very happy with our stay - and enjoyed the spa. Although we didn't use the sauna, it was also available. They have a very convenient layout where the sauna/spa room is inbetween the men's and women's shower, and can be accessed directly from either. This avoids having to go outside to a separate building, and worked really well for us.

The view of snow capped Mt Aspiring was great, especially when offset by the autumn colours on a clear sunny day.

It wasn't a large campsite, but we had no problem parking our 8m van.

Everything was spotless and a small herb garden was provided for guests to use to enhance their meals.

Free, unlimited wi-fi was included, as was use of the showers and spa.
