Whangarei Falls Holiday Park is on the outskirts of Whangarei city, and just a short walk from the Whangarei Falls.
The facilities are excellent, and the lounge is especially quiet and comforable and includes a large library. There is a swimming pool and spa, and you are not far from the Tikipunga shopping centre with a large supermarket, and anything else you're likely to need.
There is a riverside walkway from the campsite all the way into the Whangarei Marina Basin. It's a comfortable 90 minute walk which you can finish off at one of the cafes or pubs before catching the bus back to the campsite.
