Puketi Forest is an ancient kauri forest containing magnificent stands of kauri, podocarp and hardwood trees. DOC and the Puketi Forest Trust are working to eradicate the pests and restore the forest to is former glory.

You can stay at the DOC campsite right in the heart of the forest.

Experience our native forest at night. Most people only see our forests during the day time, enjoying pleasant works through well maintained tracks.
