The Kaikohe Showgrounds offers free overnight parking for self-contained motor caravanners. There is plenty of room for large vans.

 

It is a quiet rural location with locked gates. You can use the combination 4762. Please be sure to lock the gates after you and also to take your own rubbish away. 

 

There is power available, but you will need an adaptor to connect to a household 3-pin socket. There may also be a charge for plugging into the power, so please check before using.

 

Dogs must be on a lead at all times - this is a farming area.

 

There is no access on show day, or for large equestrian events.

Great campsite. $10 a night for power, water, toilets and hot showers! There is also a dump station. We stayed here two nights whilst cycling The Twin Coast Trail. There was one other camper on the first night and two on the second. Lots of room for many more.
