NORTHLAND: DOUBTLESS BAY

Taipa Beach is a great location to stop for a break, or even to do some fishing. It has plenty of parking along the reserve, making it a great meeting place for friends to get together, or to just stop for a quiet walk along the beach.

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the reserve while travelling with some good friends, one of whom wanted to test drive his new kontiki to see if he could catch some fish.

Set well back from the main road, it was perfect for our picnic, and there were even fish to be caught.

It's a real shame that the Far North District Council don't allow self-contained motor caravanners to stay overnight.
