Lake Elterwater Reserve offers limited overnight parking for self-contained vans. It's quite close to the road, so it may be rather noisy for overnight, but a nice location for a rest stop.
There is a viewing platform for the lake, and public toilets.
This is now one of only 5 Responsible Camping locations available in the Marlborough district. You can stay for a max of 2 nights.
