Mt Richmond Estate has a country cafe and a large grassed reserve where self-contained motor caravanners can stay overnight.
It includes a spa pool and tennis court as well as a very nice cafe. We called in just after mid-day and stayed on for lunch. Well worth calling in even if you're just passing through.
It's close to the Marlborough Sounds, and you can use it as a home base for exploring Elaine Bay, Duncan Bay, Tennyson Inlet and Turner's Cottage.
