Tarewarewa Stream Marine Reserve

The Te Tapuwae o Rongokako Marine Reserve at the mouth of the Tarewarewa Stream has a parking area off the main road, and looking out over the bay.
This is a DOC managed marine reserve, with no fishing allowed in the area.
It's an excellent place to stop for a break, and you can most likely stay overnight if you are self contained - there were no signs forbidding it.
