HAWKES BAY: NORTH

Waipatiki Beach Holiday Park is a large campsite set in a working farm, and a short walk from the beach. 

Waipatiki Beach is quite a long drive over some really rugged, but scenic, country. The roads are all sealed, so the drive is quite enjoyable if you don't mind heights.

The campsite offers a no-frills, traditional Kiwi experience, with plenty of room for on-grass parking. The facilities are basic by well maintained.

There are farm animals for the children to enjoy, as well as a basic playground. Otherwise they can run around and explore in the large grassed area.

It is quite a long walk to the beach, along the river, which you most lkely need to wade through to get to the beach itself.

There is no mobile coverage, but wi-fi is avaiable for a small extra cost.

This is a great location to experience country life, far away from the urban centres.
