Secondary falls along the side of the river
Maraetotara Falls is a small reserve with roadside parking and a short walk along the river bank to a waterfall. Overnight parking for self-contained motor caravanners is allowed in the carpark.
The walk to the waterfall was very pleasant, and a little gentle excercise is always good when spending a lot of time driving.
However, the parking area is quite small and we wouldn't really feel safe parking there overnight unless we had at least another van there for company.
