HAWKES BAY: HASTINGS

Arataki Holiday Park is a very large and well established campsite in the rural area of Arataki, with spacious, park like grounds and quality facilities

We visited on a Sunday afternoon in mid-November, and the campsite was nearly empty - which surprised us as the grounds were spacious and beautifully presented. The facilities were basic, but spotless and the showers were unmetred.

They are in close proximity to a mushroom farm, orchards which sell direct at very friendly prices, quality wineries, and teh Arataki Honey centre.

This would be a good location to enjoy a relaxed rural environment without breaking the bank.
