Ashburton RSA offers evening meals and free overnight parking, and is right next door to a Countdown supermarket. The Returned Serviceman's Association network provide a club environment for there members, and also for members of the public, to come in for very reasonably priced meals.
This is a good option if you're visiting Ashburton and are looking for a night off from cooking.
