Blue Gum Lodge has converted a large paddock into a campsite for long-term residents as a result of the Christchurch earthquakes. This is typical of most of the holiday parks and accommodation providers in the area.
The motel owers are very animal friendly, as long as they are kept under control, and the resident that I chatted with was very happy with their temporary long-term accommodation.
