BAY OF PLENTY: TE PUKE

Donovan Park provides for limited freedom camping in self-contained vans in a park setting.

There is only room for one motorhome to park in the designated area, but you can stay for up to 3 nights if you arrive first. 

There was someone in a car parking in that area when we arrived, so that could also be a problem if the rest of the carpark is full.

Otherwise, it's a nice quiet location with a pleasant outlook over the park, and a nice children's play area, should you be travelling with youngsters.
