Inside the spa reception
Fernland Spa is a popular natural thermal pool which also includes a small campsite area for motor caravanners.
We called into the spa with some friends who were showing us around Tauranga, and discovered that there is also a campground. While it wasn't particularly nice weather, it would have been great to stay in the campsite and enjoy a nice hot soak in the thermal pool.
The drive down into the spa parking area is quite steep, but looks worse than it is. The campsite is not large, but should still be suitable for large vans, or if towing a caravan.
