Waitui Reserve is part of a small beachfront community, with a boat ramp for access into the Tauranga harbour. Freedom camping is allowed for self-contained motor caravanners.
This is a quintessential Kiwi beachfront community, with small boats lined up ready to go out fishing. It's in a beautiful, sheltered location.
The grass area on the reserve is for casual visitors coming for a picnic, or to just relax. There is sealed parking a little further on, by the public toilets, where motor caravanners can park overnight.
