There is a large reserve on the banks of the Waikato River, and just across the road from Riverjet, who provide a range of different adventure experiences.
It's an excellent location to stop for a break, or even to stay overnight. There is plenty of room for large vans.
Riverjet, just across the road, can provide some excitement if you're looking for that, or are travelling with teenagers who need an adreniline rush.
