Tuapiro Stream Reserve is a local swimming hole in the Tuapiro stream surrounded by rural countryside. Self-contained motor caravanners can park overnight.
It's not a large reserve, and doesn't look that attractive as you turn off the road, but it's a nice quiet location - great for a picnic, cooling off on a hot summer's day, and for freedom camping.
