WEST COAST: GLACIERS

Clearwater Stream is a small reserve alongside a river. It is off the main road, and quite exposed, but has a nice, distant view of the Fox Glacier. Overnight parking is available for self-contained motor caravanners.

Parking is on the grass, and you have direct access to the river, which may be good for fishing. Otherwise, it would be a useful backup location if the DOC parking area at Lake Matheson hss filled up.
