WEST COAST: BULLER

The Ohikanui Rest Area is set back from the SH6 main highway and freedom camping is allowed for self-contained motor caravanners.

While you are close to the Ohikanui River, you don't have direct access to it. It's just a reasonably sheltered parking area off the main road, but still subject to traffic noise from the bridge over the river.

Fishing in the river may be possible if you make you way through the scrub.
