WELLINGTON: KAPITI COAST

The Foxton Post Office Hotel has a large grass parking area at the back where self-contained motor caravanners can park overnight.

The main street was undergoing a major upgrade when we stopped by, so our pictures are a bit cluttered with road works. This should be a nice location when finished.

The hotel parking area should be reasonably quiet, and you have a choice of eating places, including the Dutch Oven and the large Dutch windmill as a feature attraction.

The hotel is a park over property, so you should check in at reception before entering their private carpark. There may be a small fee for staying overnight.

It was getting late when we stopped to take pictures, and we didn't have time to check inside. We'll come again when all the road works have finished.
