The domain at Horopito School is a large grass area that is available for self-contained motor caravanners to freedom camp.
This is a great location for cycle enthusiasts, located at the beginning of the Horopito to Ohakune cycle trail which runs along the Old Coach Road. Click on the link for more information about the ride.
It also has a stunning view of Mt Ruapehu, and would be a good place for a group of motorhome friends to meet up.
