Public Dump Station
The Ohakune Club offers low cost overnight parking for self-contained motor caravanners, and the option of a nice restaurant meal. There is also a public dump station, which is normally kept locked so that you will need to ask for a key at the reception.
We spent a couple of days at the club while attending an Autotrail Users Rally. The facilities and food were good, and parking is available on the far end of the sealed carpark, or on the grass area at the back.
It was a bit overcast with drizzling rain while we were there, but the on-grass parking was quite firm and we had no problems getting on or off.
