Public toilets by the carpark
Himatangi Beach has a surf lifesaving club, with public toilets next to the parking area.
There is just a small seaside community, with a beach store and a cluster of houses. The beach is a typical sandy west coast beach, and is well used by the locals and visitors.
You may be able to freedom camp in the car park, but ask first. There was no sign either way at the time we visited.
