Modern toilets

Modern toilets and dump station

Morrinsville has its own thermal pools as part of a large recreation area and carpark. A public dump station and fresh water are also provided.

We called in mid-Autumn, looking for a dump station, and were pleasantly surprised to find that it was also available for overnight parking.

It is a really good all-weather location, with hi-tech, and spotlessly clean toilets. However, they are only open between 7am to 7pm.

Another motorhome had been staying over for the previous 2 or 3 days. We enjoyed having a long chat with the owner, swapping notes about motorhome features and locations we had been to.

He had a converted American motorhome that was 9.5 metres long, which he had been living in for the past 6 years. It was roomy and very comfortable inside. Food for thought...

The pools were closed while we were there, so we didn't get to have a look inside. There is also a walk through the park, which might well be worth exploring.

Overall, an unexpected treat, and worth keeping in might if you need a place to park overnight while in there area.
